After several long, complicated years of planning and fund-raising, OVSC finally managed to ‘raise the roof’ this winter and are now the proud owners of a brand new pitched roof which has totally transformed the look of the clubhouse. This didn’t come a moment too soon with the dreadful weather experienced at the beginning of the year, as without it the general consensus is that the old roof would have finally given up its fight and caved in after many years sturdy service!
With funds donated by the members and thanks to a generous grant from the “SITA Trust”, we are embarking on a programme of refurbishment to the inside of the Club. With upgraded changing rooms, a new kitchen and a fully refurbished bar area all planned over the coming months, we are confident that OVSC is looking forward to an exciting new era.
The building of our new glass-backed squash court is well on schedule with the shell now finished and the drying out period over. The interior is waiting for the court-building specialists to come and finish the job.
Updates will follow!
We are pleased to announce that James Starr has been appointed as the new Club Head Tennis Coach at OVSC.
