SENIORS

Teams

We run four senior teams and play in both the Surrey League and the local Kingston League.

Knockout Cup matches take place intermittently throughout the season within the appropriate divisions. The netball club’s competitive and social nature sees us take on national tournaments, in-house competitions and numerous social events throughout the season!

Training

Training takes place outside under floodlights on Monday evenings from 7.15 – 9.00 pm from August to end of April.

Training includes fitness and ball skills, plus game experience. Depending on numbers attending, there may be time spent watching others play. Since we train outside, we suggest warm layers of clothing are worn.

JUNIORS

We run this section for girls aged 10 to 15 years. At the age of 14 girls are allowed to play Senior netball. (All England Netball Association ruling.)

Leagues

The Juniors play in the Surrey Little League between November and April in monthly tournaments at various local venues. The League is divided into age groups ranging from under 12 to under 16. There is a small match fee payable for each tournament to help cover the cost of tournament entry fees

Junior Training

Training takes place outside under floodlights at Oxshott Village Sports Club on Monday evenings from 6.30 – 7.30 pm from September to end of April.

Experienced members of the Club supervise the sessions.

GENERAL

Clothing

Our colours are black skirts and shirts, with jade piping and lettering. These are generally available through the Netball section. For training: tennis shoes (or suitable shoes for tennis court) plus joggers/track suits (suggest lots of thin layers!) should be worn. Wet weather gear is also required on occasions.

Match fees (Seniors and Juniors)

Currently £3.00 per player in Senior matches, payable at the match. Junior tournaments require a small payment. These are charged to help cover the costs of umpires, administration, etc.
