Maori Oxshott Centenary Cricket Match

MOCC is holding a special celebration cricket match at the club on Sunday 28 July. The event marks the 100th anniversary of the Maori Cricket Club and the 25th anniversary of the merger between Maori Cricket Club and Oxshott Cricket Club.

The Maori Cricket Club, established in 1925, holds a unique place in cricket history. Originally owned by P&O, the club was a cornerstone for cricket enthusiasts in Worcester Park, fostering al love for the game that endured the decades. Oxshott Cricket Club, founded in 1896, has been a significant part of the local community, known for its picturesque grounds and welcoming atmosphere.

In 2000, the Maori Oxshott Cricket Club and Oxshott Cricket Club merged, combining their strengths and renaming themselves Maori Oxshott Cricket Club (MOCC), now based at Oxshott Village Sports Club.

The match starts at 2.30pm.

All spectators are welcome to come along and enjoy the cricket - the bar will be open.
