So Close - O45s Mens Nationals Tennis Team

Oxshott Mens O45s played in the semi finals of the Nationals O45s on Saturday at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton. The Oxshott team consisting of Jeremy Bates & Andrew Castle and Stephen Morris & Adrian Blackman played Giffnock from Scotland.

After some amazing tennis with every imaginable twist and turn the match came down to a 14-12 championship tie break final set in favour of Giffnock. The score was 2:2 rubbers, 5:5 sets and 43-41 games. It couldn’t have been closer.

Congratulations go to Giffnock who then went on to play Gerrards Cross winning in the final - 6-2.
